“Mostly I’m the oldest fella in the class, but it doesn’t make any difference. My best tip is to KEEP DOING IT.  I think it is easier to do it with a partner, but if you’ve got someone at home to help you hold the pads, or keep you motivated it’s really great – and the feeling you get about 2 hours after you finish a decent workout is unbelievable. You think you could take on the world.

“I’ve been doing Boxout now for a bit over 2 years. It’s been a fantastic experience. I’ve lost weight, but the best thing is stamina. I’ve slowly build up over the months, and you get fitter and fitter and fitter.
My best tips would be to Take it Easy – don’t do too much too soon. Also, Keep you hands up !  When you throw punch it’s easier to throw up high, rather than if they are lower. Once you get your hands higher, your combinations will come faster.”
